Hello! Welcome to the world of Vyvyan Lam. I am a sophomore at Kearny SCT, and for as long as I remember, I have always wanted to work in Hollywood. Whether it be directing, managing, or even working with medicine, I have always believed that, that is where I belong. To this day, I still don't know much about myself. Sometimes I want to be the good girl, other times, I would rather be the "bad rocker chick". However, I do not let this bring me down, because at the end of the day, I know for a fact that I am always going to be me.
Ever since I was a child, I've always wanted to make a change in this world, a type of impact. So, when choosing an environmental issue, I had a pretty tough time, especially with a very stubborn partner! Putting all jokes aside, we thought, if we choose an issue, why not choose one that relates to us personally; genetically modified organisms. After finding out that this topic is very broad, we narrowed it down to a food that our culture tends to eat on a daily basis, rice. With that, after some extensive research, we were narrowed the topic down to Golden Rice. Moreover, I do think this topic was fun to explore and learn more about. Albeit, this project has been quite a hassle at times, I learned a lot, and that's all that matters.

I believe in hard work, perseverance, dedication, and other various qualities associated with success. I am just an average student with a work ethic second-to-none. Despite my solemn self-description, I do try to find joy in the work that I do. Overall, I like to think of myself as a well-rounded person who helps those in need, especially my peers, even though I hardly ever express my passion to assist others.
